About Us

Over 18 years ago, Rob and Kelly Horn packed their bags and made the trek from the small town of Flemington New Jersey to another small town on the opposite coast: Olympia, Washington. Their obsession with the craft beer scene was immediate. After years of home brewing they decided to make it official and opened a tiny brewery in August of 2014.

Triceratops Brewing Company (with the last name Horn and three awesome kids, was there really any other choice?) began its brewing operations out of the Horn’s home garage. Three years later the couple opened a Tumwater tasting room. Since the grand opening in June of 2017, the brewery has had a steady flow of great customers, good friends, and craft beer lovers.

To date, Triceratops Brewing has earned four medals at the Washington Beer Awards: a bronze for Hawthorne Coffee Milk Stout in 2016, bronze for Pennsyltucky Vienna-style lager in 2018, bronze for Revival Coffe and Motors Coffee Milk Stout in 2021, and A Gold for the Bohemian Rhaspberry Golden Ale .
